LATEST RESULTS:
August 8-9, 2008

The Iron Motorsports team, with Jeep Van Wormer behind the wheel of their #55 entry, invaded the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on August 8-9 for the annual running of the 'North/South 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned the historic Dirt Late Model event, which boasted a $50,000 top prize. Jeep was the fastest qualifier in his group during time trials on Friday evening. When the action resumed at the Cincinnati area venue on Saturday, Jeep finished sixth in his heat race and third in his B-Main. Unfortunately, those efforts were not good enough to transfer the Pinconning, Michigan native into the 100-lap main event, which was taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel. You can view complete results from the 'North/South 100' online at www.lucasdirt.com.

"It was a good run for us at Cedar Lake last weekend," quoted Van Wormer today via telephone. "That was the best we have ever run up there, so that is encouraging. Hopefully, we can go to Florence this weekend and run the best we ever have there as well. There will be a lot of cars on hand, so qualifying will be crucial, as it always is these days."
